Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: Created in 2011, Qapa is similar to a temporary work agency, only it’s an online job board. It receives 548 620 views a month (73% of those are from France) according to SimilarWeb and it has 4.5million CVs (or so it says). On social media, it has followers on Facebook (20 191), Linkedin (3 954), Twitter (3 868) and Youtube (698). They also have hundreds of Youtube videos. Qapa is a fountain of information, whether it be temporary work information, job sheets or the current state of the job market. Qapa wants it easy to find temporary work (and temporary workers) in France, without the expensive temp agency fees. Different CVs and job offers are displayed depending on the user.

Design: A turquoise and pink colour scheme replaced the yellow and blue one at the end of last year. The colour scheme, the logo and the font changed and Qapa made a video about it. There are many images of happy people and the team members on throughout the website. Reasons to choose Qapa are on the homepage, followed by a map full of location icons to show their national presence. The app, the salary simulator, some profiles and the team are also featured on the homepage. Once in the job listing, each job offer indicates the hourly pay as well as the total pay once the task has been completed. Instead of the publication date, the website indicates when the assignment starts and the useful information is quite detailed (start and end date, benefits, etc.). To filter your search you have the location, the radius, the salary, the experience and the start date of the assignment.

The job board objective: Qapa hopes to revolutionize the way people look for work. You only pay for the service if you actually get what you are looking for.

Recruiter observations: The employer page has a slightly darker colour scheme. You can browse CVs for free (and you can include keywords to filter them), but contact information is hidden. Photos and first names are included. You cannot contact jobseekers unless you have an account, and you have a current job offer. According to the website, most of their candidates are in sales & distribution, restauration, transport & logistics and industry. You can publish as many free job offers as you like. However, you’ll have to pay to actually exchange with candidates.

Jobseeker observations:To sign up for part time work, you have to provide a number of documents, and the process is explained on the website. However, creating an account is easy and you need one to apply to job offers. The website compares your CV to the job requirements and warns you if you don’t fit the profile (but you can still apply).

The job offers: Most of the job offers are in logistics, transport, sales, industry and secretarial work. There are 21 344 job offers on Qapa right now, which is down by about 10 000 compared to what it was at the beginning of 2017.

Reactivity: --

Special features: An overwhelming number of job sheets (which include a definition, the activity, the required studies and current job offers); the 30 euros monthly bonus; the blog; the hiring record of 36 minutes; the Qapa spirit; the temporary work benefits (including reduced vehicle rental costs); the cost simulator (for employers); the Youtube videos; job alerts.

Verdict: If you are looking for temp work or temp workers in France, Qapa is clear and simple to use. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, that’s okay because posting and CV browsing are free!
