Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: Multitrabajos is a generalist job board in Ecuador, which is the equivalent of Bumeran in some of the other South American countries. It belongs to Navent and was created in 2000. Despite a drop in the visibility, it remains the 76th most visited website in Ecuadore with a whopping 1.30 million visits per month. The founder and current CEO of the group is Nicolás Tejerina and you can find more information on the team and the timeline on the Navent website (but not on the Multitrabajos site). On social media, the group has about 8 162 Twitter followers (no updates since 2017), and another 4 642 on Facebook (no updates since 2014) and 8 303 on Linkedin.

Design: The logo is a clever combination of a tie and a magnifying glass. From the moment you enter the job site, you are in the thick of things. The featured companies, however, are not hiring. The search engine (keywords and the location) appears at the top of the page and job offers fill up the rest of the homepage. You can even use the filters (the publication date, the level in the company, the location, the industry, the type of hours, handicap-friendly and the salary) on the homepage (they are slightly different though). In the job listing, the offers appear in a list and display useful information (which also appears at the top of the offer when it is opened). You can sort them by relevance or newness. Some offers have logos and the disability-friendly jobs have a wheelchair icon. As for the company pages, some companies do have them but they are just a list of job offers, and a brief introduction.

The job board objective: Multitrabajos (which means “multiple jobs”) has many jobs to offer jobseekers.

Recruiter observations: To advertise, you need a fiscal number (RUC), but you can create your advert through the site without contacting anyone if you have one. The prices are on the website. Recruiters can include additional questions for candidates (the question options are included in the form). You can advertise for free.

Jobseeker observations: It’s easy to create an account but you do need a desired job in mind. When you apply to job offers, you have to specify your salary expectations.

The job offers: There are 3 117 job offers right now. The popular industries are sales, telecommunications and administration & accounting. Very few offers give a salary.

Reactivity: You can contact the team through WhatsApp according to the website, but we couldn’t find the number.

Special features: The preselection options; the app; the disability-friendly job offers; the clever logo; the testimonials; free posting; the blog (nothing new since 2016).

Verdict: Multitrabajos is at the top of the list when it comes to job boards because of its simplicity and efficiency. The logo is there way of saying “we mean business” and the name implies the possibility of finding a large variety of jobs.

Ecuador recruitment market status

Its an extremely competitive regional career market and the law here is to balance by hiring equal number of men and women and if the company has more than 25 employees, 4% atleast should be for disabled or for those who take care of disabled.
