Jobspin occasionally organizes business seminars for employers and workshops for expats in Prague about relocation to the Czech Republic.

Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: Founded in 2014, JobSpin International s.r.o is a job board for expats in the Czech Republic. There is a focus on languages, so JobSpin could also be considered a specialist job board for multilingual jobs. More than anything, JobSpin prides itself on offering great job fairs around the country. On social media, there are 4 202 followers on Facebook, 112 on Twitter, 123 on Instagram, 742 on YouTube and 560 on LinkedIn and 684 on another page. The traffic is a bit low for SimilarWeb, but Easycounter indicates that over 11 000 visits are recorded each month.

Design: On the homepage, there’s a small search engine (category, region, language) above a girl lounging on a couch, browsing her phone. Just below, there are two lists: top jobs in Prague and the top jobs in Brno (which include publication dates but no logos). Some company logos appear at the bottom of the page, and most of these featured companies are hiring. In the listing, the filters (keywords, region, category, language) and a few tickable boxes (freelance, full time, internship, part time) help jobseekers refine their search. There is also a company listing (in alphabetical order). You can’t click on all the pages though. Most include a description, a logo, current offers, a location, a website and a review section (which doesn’t work).

The job board objective: JobSpin strives to connect companies with employees with great language skills.

Recruiter observations: Different packages are available (and explained) on the site. Required information includes the type of job, job description, language skills and username. Optional info includes social media, a company description, an image and a closing date. The site recently cancelled their CV database access.

Jobseeker observations: Jobseekers don’t need an account to apply to job offers.

The job offers: Since the offers appear as a continual scroll, it’s impossible to determine how many offers are currently online.

Reactivity: You can contact the team through Facebook and they answer very quickly via e-mail too.

Special features: Very small social media icons; the YouTube videos; job fairs; the blog; the additional information about JobSpin for the media; the extensive gallery; the articles about JobSpin; job alerts; workshops; the key figures (which are out of date); the video on salaries and the cost of living; the banners; the ‘referenced on Jobboard Finder’ info.

Verdict: A pet peeve of mine is seeing languages or cities without capitals, which you’ll see on JobSpin. That said, if you look past the grammatical mistake, the site has an attractive design and great transparency.
