Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: According to the Maroc Emploi, they are the leaders in free job websites in Morocco. The problem is that it isn’t actually free to post jobs on the website for professionals. So I don’t quite see how it is leading the way in free job boards. It’s not surprising to discover that it is ranked 2 034th in Morocco and well behind the local competition as regards the site’s activity. It does seem to keep its Facebook page relatively up-to-date with job offers for its followers, a mere 58 000 people.

Design: The design is very straightforward: there aren’t too many colours, and the different categories are clearly visible which makes it very easy to use. The pop-ups are a bit distracting and the lack of protection is unsettling.

The job board objective: Maroc Emploi displays both job offers and courses. In theory, it’s free to use but there is conflicting information on their website.

Recruiter observations: As a recruiter, you really have the freedom to write your advert however you like. Just remember there are pop-ups above, below and on either side of your message, so jobseekers could get confused by something too brief.

Jobseeker observations: It’s very easy to apply to jobs, and since there aren’t that many on the website, you won’t be looking though pages and pages of them.

The job offers: Spread out over a variety of categories, the only one with a substantial number of job offers is the phone assistance category. The other categories are limited to about 5-15 postings in the big cities and a lot of the smaller cities don’t have any job offers on the website at all!

Reactivity: There’s a small green box in the bottom right-hand corner which enables you to contact the site (in theory). Still waiting for an answer.

Special features: the option of looking for courses (and not just jobs); job alerts.

Verdict: There are pop-ups on either side of the screen, they made a mistake on their own company name (writing it back to front in their summary at the bottom of the page) and they claim to be free but aren’t. There is no contact number or e-mail address and to top it all off, the website is not secured. So, how do you feel about putting your personal information onto a website with unknown regulators, no security, limited job offers and absolutely no contact details?
