Jobboard Finder’s opinion

Summary: Created in 2010, YourFirm is a specialist job board, which attracts 640 600 views a month. It focuses on small to medium sized companies, which are looking to hire long-term workers. Quite active on social media, the website has 354 on LinkedIn, 514 on YouTube, 858 on Twitter, 4 919 on Instagram and 71 517 on Facebook.

Design: The focus of the homepage is on the search engine (keywords and the location), which also has the filters (sector, activity, type of contract). You can access different offers and employer pages through the homepage. Article links are also available. Once in the job listing, the offers appear with large logos and publication dates. Some jobs are listed as top jobs. Job offers can be sorted by relevance or date, but you can’t get a proper idea of how many there are because they appear in a continual scroll. There is also a company listings, where you can use the filters (keywords, locations, branch, number of employees, international companies) to find exactly what you want. Company pages include images, a description and a map.

The job board objective: YourFirm focuses on smaller companies, which it considers the backbone of the country.

Recruiter observations: Recruiters are encouraged to contact the team to post job offers.

Jobseeker observations: You don't need one to apply as a jobseeker and the cover letter is prewritten for you.

The job offers: There are currently 9 531 job offers online.

Special features: The feedback options; the app; job alerts; testimonials; the detailed offer and price brochure; the YouFirm calendar (of events); the hundreds of YouTube videos; the career atlas; the career sheets (including the required education, the tasks and the salary); photos of the team.

Verdict: The focus on firms of a smaller size is quite interesting. It is unfortunate that the login functions were not working and that the website design does not display the number of job offers. That said, it’s still worth checking out if you are looking for a long-term job in a small to medium sized company, and if you are such a company looking for dedicated and loyal workers.
